Move With Me
The goal is to introduce children to music and movement through a structured progression that stresses creativity and group interaction. This 30 minute dance class will include an additional 15 minutes of unstructured play time to foster independence and friendships. Themes will include colors, shapes, sizes, tempo and actions found in nature. An adult caregiver is welcomed to participate in this clsas with their young dancer. Dancers will have the option to perform in recital with their trusted adult.
Tiptoes for Two Year Olds
The goal is to introduce children to music and movement through a structured progression that stresses creativity and group interaction. Themes will include colors, shapes, sizes, tempo and actions found in nature. Parents will begin the year in the classroom and we will separate them out when the dancers begin to feel comfortable. Class is 30 minutes of dance instruction with an additional 15 minutes of free play and obstacle course work to foster friendships, independence and gross motor skill building. Two year olds will have the option of performing in the recital but will not require a traditional costume.
Fun to Dance
(Pre-K and Kindergarten)
Intended as an introduction to ballet and tap dancing. Creative movement, games and music will be incorporated to make learning dance FUN!! There will be basic movement vocabulary and short combinations taught during each class in both tap and ballet disciplines. Students will be taught the basic structure of dance class including work at the barre, movement across the floor and center combinations. Jazz dance, creative movement and tumbling are also incorporated to give dancers a well rounded start to their dance training.
This level features an extended tap and ballet combo class to give dancers more time to focus on proper execution of basic dance positions and steps. Dancers are given the opportunity to explore jazz, acro and hip hop dance through optional additional class offerings. There will be a focus on increased flexibility and strength as new movements in each dance form are introduced to students. Tap will focus on basic elements including rhythm, timing and sound. Ballet will feature the structure of a ballet class with barre work, adage, petite allegro and work across the floor. Combinations and performance pieces will be learned in each style of dance.
Tumbling and Acrobatics
Tumbling is a great introduction to body awareness, music and movement for the young and active dancer. We will work on increased upper body strength and moving and balancing in a variety of different ways. Class will incorporate props and obstacle courses in a way that makes it fun to get stronger.
Acro class is designed to teach acrobatics skills including rolls, back bends, walk overs, cartwheels and progressing to more difficult skills such as handsprings, aerials and intricate balances. The focus will be on safely executing basic acrobatic tricks and creating acrobatic dance combinations to music.
Classes at this level will teach proper placement, technique, steps, variations and combinations. Each class will include a warm-up at the barre, both adagio and allegro combinations in the center, a stretch and work across the floor. These classes are a foundation for all the other forms of dance and also a preparation for future ballet dancing and pointe work.
A Form of dance charecterized by percussive and stylized steps and movements. We will explore both rhythm and theatrical styles of tap while also exploring concepts such as improvisation, musicality, syncopation, performance skills and more. Classes will focus on footwork, precision, speed and musicality. Students will work on combing movements to create more intricate steps and patterns while learning to remember and perform choreography.
A fun, upbeat and eclectic form of dance. Jazz relies on a dancer's classical training, yet pushes him/her to connect emotionally to music and movement. Classes teach basic jazz dance technique, terminology and movement quality with an emphasis on proper execution of jazz isolation, rhythms and style. Many different styles including Broadway, lyrical, traditional and modern jazz will be explored.
This program is designed for the serious dancer who wants to explore all styles of dance and take their training to the next level. All Dancers, regardless of technical abilities, are invited to participate in this program and see all that dance has to offer while building skill and confidence.
Only a small percentage of the dancers in our Intensive Program will move on to professional dance careers; therefore, the program focuses on educating young people to strive for their personal best in anything they want to accomplish. We achieve our goals for the program by offering young people the chance to:
gain a sense of balance in life by managing their commitments to both dance and academics
participate in a physical activity that enhances understanding of the value of a healthy body
develop a sense of confidence when speaking or making a presentation in a public setting, which is also a great benefit in college or job interviews
work with mentors who are focused on the students’ success inside and outside of the classroom
enjoy friendships that could last a lifetime and a sense of belonging to an extended family of fellow dancers, teachers, and parents

Male dancers are given a chance to express themselves freely in this structured combination of hip hop and tumbling class. They build musicality, strength, coordination and technique through warm up, dance combinations, tumbling and acro stations and obstacle course work. A great introduction to dance for young boys or a great compliment to other dance training that builds a strong foundation of camaraderie with other boys who share a passion for movement and music.
Our adult dance program offer students 18 and up the opportunity to begin or continue dancing while focusing on a strong, fit body, proper dance technique, flexibility, body awareness, and fun. Many classes are all levels and are great for beginners and those looking to get back into a dance class as an adult. Classes are offered in 6-10 week sessions and drop ins are allowed for most classes.
